What Filemail’s support article stated
On 23 October 2026 Filemail’s official free-service help article, dated 16 February 2026, stated that no registration is required on the free tier, transfers can be up to 5 GB, users can send up to 2 transfers in 24 hours, and files are stored for a maximum of 7 days before deletion. The same article noted that the free service is not available in certain regions, without naming the regions.
For paid accounts, that same help article listed Personal at 5 GB per transfer, Pro at 250 GB per transfer, and Business and Enterprise with no file size cap. Password wording and storage quotas from other marketing pages were not opened on that date, so this comparison only quotes the verified help article.
How SendToAnyone compares on free and paid sends
SendToAnyone free is 6 GB per transfer and 6 GB stored at once, with links you set from 1 hour to 7 days and no account on either side. When you need more room, Creator is 50 GB per transfer, 200 GB stored, and 30 days at ₹299 or $3.99 monthly or ₹3,199 or $39.99 yearly. A Pass is ₹199 or $2.49 for a single 100 GB transfer that lasts 30 days and does not change the account plan. Pro is 250 GB per transfer, 1,000 GB stored, and 1 year at ₹999 or $10.99 monthly or ₹10,499 or $109.99 yearly.
A password encrypts the files before they leave the browser. It is not in the email. A link without a password keeps the key in the link. We cannot read those files. The uploader does not transcode video or recompress photos. Email carries the download link rather than attaching the file, or you can copy the link yourself and paste it into a chat.
What is not offered here
There is no desktop app, UDP transfer client, or mail plugin; everything runs in the browser. Team checkout is not open, and Studio and Business appear on the pricing page as Contact sales rather than a self-serve checkout button. There is no choice of an EU storage region. Files sit on global cloud storage until the link expires.
An independent operator based in India runs the service, and it is not yet certified. The upload scan checks the file name and the first few kilobytes before encryption and cannot detect every kind of malware or pirated file. Prices on the pricing page exclude GST, and an India checkout adds 18% GST.
